Welcome Debbie Du Feu – An interview with our newest Director

Forward Group is delighted to welcome Debbie Du Feu as Director to the Team and we thought, in between her intense induction to the business, we would take a few minutes to learn a little bit more about Debbie.

Welcome to the team, Debbie. As you can see its exciting times for Forward Group, what attracted you to the role?

Forward is a relatively young company with exciting plans for growth whilst retaining the personal client service element, something I am passionate about, to be part of that and such a great small team is refreshing.

How do you see your appointment benefiting Forward Group?

I have many years’ experience in the industry which I can draw on in my new role.  Client service means everything to me.  I pride myself on delivering the best that I can, building long term relationships which ultimately encourage growth through repeat business and new introductions.  I am also looking forward to working with some of the more junior colleagues sharing knowledge, enabling them to flourish, gain confidence and help continue the fantastic culture we have.

Looking Forward, what would like to achieve within your role at forward?

I am excited to join Alun and Simon in creating a thriving boutique trust company which is renowned for the level of service it provides, remains competitive and attractive to clients and is a great place to work.  I want clients to feel that we work seamlessly together and become an extension of their own office.  Employees are everything in this industry, they are what makes the difference to a great business, staff retention is key.

What motivates you to be the best you can be?

It is in my nature to do the very best I can for my clients, my colleagues and most importantly my family.  I love that feeling when you have a sense of achievement, when a deal closes on time or you win a new piece of business.

What opportunities can you see the role will bring you?

To be able to put my own mark on the company; build a motivated and happy team; work and grow a great network of associates and generally be part of a rewarding business.

Obviously when working in a complex and busy environment getting a good work-life balance is essential – how do you unwind, what are your interests outside of work?

I like to keep fit, enjoy Pilates however do not do nearly enough of it.  Walking with my dog, reading anything from crime drama to chick lit, enjoying time outdoors, making gin and cooking.  Love a bit of rubbish tv now and again too.
