Introducing Bronwyn Kirwan: Always Climbing Forward

At Forward Group, we believe in welcoming leaders who embody innovation, drive, and a passion for growth. In October 2024, we were thrilled to welcome Bronwyn Kirwan as our new Client Director.

With a wealth of experience in the finance industry and an adventurous spirit that knows no limits, Bronwyn brings fresh perspectives and boundless energy to our team.

From navigating the dynamic world of Jersey Private Funds to summiting Mount Kilimanjaro for a meaningful cause, Bronwyn’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. In this interview, we dive into her first impressions of Forward Group, her vision for the future, and the values that motivate her to excel both professionally and personally.

Welcome to Forward Group Bronwyn, it is an exciting time for you to join us, what attracted you to the role?

I was attracted by the potential growth opportunities offered by the business and the ability to react proactively and objectively to market opportunities. The independence and director-led approach of the business also stood out for me, the leadership team are like minded individuals who look for outside the box solutions. This allows us to adapt quickly in this fast-paced regulated environment.

How do you see your appointment benefiting Forward Group?

I consider myself charismatic, supportive, patient and diplomatic; qualities which I believe will enhance our collective work as a leadership team. I bring a wealth of experience from my years in the finance industry, having looked after various high net worth individuals and their families with my focus shifting to the corporate side with Jersey Private Funds more recently. I’m looking forward to exploring opportunities in both the private and corporate sectors.

Looking Forward, what are your goals?

I am keen to continue to drive the business forward by enhancing customer experiences and building long lasting and meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Forward Group has a positive, fair and inclusive culture which is important to me and I’m keen to continue building on that.

What motivates you to be the best you can be?

I thrive in a flexible environment and enjoy challenges which test my professional skills and experience. Promoting fairness in the workplace is important to me. I am motivated by creating and contributing to a calm and happy workplace, where everyone has the opportunity to be the best they can be. Honest feedback is important to me and works as a motivator.

What opportunities can you see the role will bring you?

Most importantly Forward Group giving me the opportunity to maintain and develop a cohesive excellent client service team where we can be focused on our clients’ future. I am excited to be a part of driving growth opportunities and assisting with the expansion of the business with its energetic, flexible and positive culture.

Balancing work and life is essential. How do you unwind and what are your interests outside of work?

I love being outdoors and 2024 had been an active year for me. I completed the Island Walk for the first time, walking the 48 miles of Jersey’s stunning coastline in one day. It was a gruelling challenge but great practice for my next adventure which was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a local group to raise funds for Dementia Jersey. This was an amazing trek; the altitude took some getting used to but I did it and reached the summit at 5,895 metres high!

This summer, I plan to do the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours. This means I’ll be climbing the UK’s tallest mountains, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. The driving time between each location will add to the challenge of hitting the 24 hour target! Over the next few months I’ll be busy ensuring I am physically and mentally fit for it, my two year old cockapoo will certainly enjoy the training!
